 November News

We are starting off this month with some good news.  Belly Banter has won another award  YAY!!  Belly Banter was recently awarded Product of the Year in the 2012 Creative Child Awards Program, which is one of the most prestigious and respected national awards programs in the country. This award has real credibility in the marketplace since they are judged by Moms.  There is no approval like a Mom approval, right?!  So, for this we are honored!

Happy Election Day!

We hope all of you will get out and exercise your right to vote today.

I think we can all agree on one thing -- No more negative ads!

No matter who you are voting for today, be respectful of those with differing views. It’s the right thing to do

We can't celebrate Thanksgiving without the traditional Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!  We thought you might enjoy a few fun facts about the parade!
  1. The first “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” was originally called “Macy’s Christmas Day Parade” even though it was held on Thanksgiving.
  2. The very first floats for the parade were carried by horses.
  3. Live animals were part of the first parade including elephants, camels, donkeys and goats!
  4. Thanks to the start of the famous giant helium balloons that graced the parade in 1927, Macy’s has become the second largest consumer of helium in the world  (The U.S. government being the first respectively).

Do you know where Black Friday got it's name?  Here is the explanation.

It is believed the term “Black Friday” was coined back in the 1960s in Philadelphia, where it was used to describe heavy traffic and hoards of people shopping after the Thanksgiving holiday. Black Friday is a term most commonly used today as the period in which retailers are “in the black” turning profit. Over the years retail stores have used this day to their advantage in order to attract more shoppers
