SlickSugar's story began with two friends chatting in a parking lot one afternoon. What could we do to express our creative sides and how could we include our children?

Michelle has spent the majority of her career in the marketing world and holds a degree in International Business as well as her MBA. She is a born entrepreneur! Most importantly, she is the mother of three beautiful boys. She brings new meaning to the phrase, "wears many hats".

Dana has a musical background and a true passion for music, especially a good 80's tune. It's also been said that she was born wearing a hand bag with matching shoes. While she's been up on many stages, her greatest pleasure comes from being a mom to her two children who love music just about as much as she does.

Creating the clothing line that you see before you is how we joined forces. Our goal is to create items that will inspire children to pick up an instrument, sing in the car or dance down the stairs. We hope to bring back a few good memories for mom and dad with our “vintage” designs as well.

We are constantly inspired by our children, many precious memories and the joy that music brings. That being said......we donate a portion of sales to Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation which supports music education and its many benefits through the donation of new and refurbished musical instruments to underserved school and community music programs and individual students nationwide. http://www.mhopus.org/index.asp
